Project-by-Project Licensing Fees (Based Upon Reduced Fee - Industry Standards)

Video Format: HD 1080i and/or NTSC Broadcast quality QuickTime (.mov) at 720x480 using the DV compression codec is for television broadcast or DVD. This footage can also be transcoded to any format for digital distribution such as Flash, Windows Media Video, MP4, Video iPod, iPhone, etc. We can transcode the video clips into the format that you require for an additional fee.

Video Content: We have a large raw stock footage library, and licensed edited clips from the Faithful Friends Television Show. We have broken out costs associated with the two (2) different types of content (stock and fully edited pieces). 

Raw Stock Footage: Raw stock footage is available. This content would need to be researched and then edited to meet requirements as set by the client. Clips can be made available from 15 sec. to 2 minutes in length.

Edited Clips: Currently, there are over 130 video segments available from Faithful Friends Season One and another 150 clips from Season Two that can be made available based upon needs. The average length is between 1 to 4 minutes. Each can be licensed for use in video productions or for websites. 

Commercial Usage Clips: Currently, there are no fees set up for commercial use of clips for endorsement of products. This would have to be on a case-by-case basis and standard residuals for talent may apply.

Licensing Rates: Standard rates vary according to the amount of videos that are ordered. 

Raw Stock Footage: 

Largely this is based upon the research and administrative time for implementing the search and edits. Each video clip of stock footage is USD $150.00 and bulk rates as low as $100 per clip can be negotiated for large orders. 

All Talent clearances will be provided at the rate agreed upon, if any, although insurance must be provided by DFS for the agreed upon term of the license.

Content will be delivered via DVD-ROM or Firewire drive, depending upon the amount of videos that are licensed. We can also deliver the master DV clips via FTP, however due to the large file sizes, they are limited to 1 or 2 video clips. We can compress them to MPEG-4 H.264 for delivery via the Internet for larger orders. 

Edited Clips: 

Website: An affiliate website program is developed to allow a content license fee reduction with the inclusion of pre and post roll advertising as sold by Heads & Tails. Affiliates will utilize a designated video player as provided by Heads & Tails. This will reduce fees for website content. If not sponsored, each video clip of edited footage is $1000 per minute and bulk rates as low as $500 per minute for websites. 

HD/SD Video Production: Although DFS does not use HD/SD Video Production, for ease of understanding each video clip of edited footage for video production is $2,750 per minute and bulk rates as low as $1,500 per minute.

All Talent clearances will be provided at the rate agreed upon, although Insurance must be provided by Client for the agreed upon term of the license.

NOTE: Standard Industry Rates for Licensed Content range from a low of $3,000 a minute and much higher.

Commercial Usage Clips: To be considered on a case-by-case basis with negotiations with Talent taken into account.

Licensing Rights: None of the video provided can be re-sold or re-licensed or used by or in conjunction with a third party. If the video clips are broadcast online, they can only appear on one (1) URL, and are prohibited from being used in any other websites. All content must allow for appropriate copyrights and trademarks as delivered.

Raw Stock Footage: The clips can be re-edited to suit the user. Audio can be altered to support translations. Sponsors logos can be inserted into the final product.

Edited Clips: Clips cannot be re-edited nor can Audio be revised without prior written consent.

Commercial Usage Clips: To be considered on a case-by-case basis.
